Villa Linda 2 By Zuzu

I come back twice a year, and the accommodation is always delightful. Rooms are spacious and new, with cable TV, good air conditioning, wifi and daily service. The pool is nice, the staff are lovely, and breakfast is included and really good. At around mid 30AUD a night, plus free rides to and from the airport, it’s hard to beat.

The room was huge and well worth the price. There were a few mosquitoes, which is hard to avoid in Bali, and my air-con leaked. It still worked, but took a while to cool things down. The beach is about a 10-minute walk away. The staff are the real highlight. They cleaned the room thoroughly every day, and were very helpful despite some language barriers. The locked gate also made me feel safer. If you arrive or leave before 0630h or after 2300h, you have to ring the bell to get in or out.

We were only there for one night, but the staff made a good impression. The front desk guys were helpful and let us park our car in their garage. At breakfast the next morning, the woman serving everyone was on her own, yet stayed friendly and kept smiling while taking care of the guests. The place was nice and the location was great.

Rooms are comfortable and clean, and there’s a pool, which is a nice extra. A few nearby places to eat are good, and for the price the location works well. The pool can get loud when guests’ kids turn it into a playground, with the noise carrying between the two buildings. Maybe I’m just getting grumpy in my old age. There’s no restaurant or other food on site, and I’d skip the breakfast in favour of better nearby choices. Wet season can make access tricky because the nearby streets often flood. Still, Linda villa 2 is good value for a stay in sanur, and I’d come back.
