Pondok Ayu

The balcony had a handy spot to dry my swimsuit after going to the nearby beach, and the bathroom was roomy enough that I had no trouble using it. Breakfast could be arranged as Indonesian food if I asked the day before; the usual choices included omelets, pancakes, toast, and fruit. I came because the rating was good, but the room and facilities turned out better than I expected, and I was happy with how clean everything was. Since I mentioned it was our honeymoon, they decorated the room in such a cute way 🤍

Only four rooms, and it feels like a lovely little hotel. The rooms are big and spotlessly clean, with a nice pool area for relaxing. Hosts and staff were wonderful, and breakfast was great. It's a little way from the beach, but that wasn't a problem.

We liked it enough to extend our stay, and still remember Pjndok Ayu with gratitude, along with his lovely hostess, the caring, smiling Kadek, and the excellent staff. The garden and grounds are beautiful, the atmosphere is peaceful, and both the pool and rooms were very clean. Our room was bright and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and large bottles of drinking water always available. There are only 5 rooms, and we hardly saw other guests. The staff kept everything tidy in the room and around the property.

The hot water sometimes ran out too soon. Otherwise, the place was nicely looked after, with flowers and trees giving it an authentic but modern feel. Breakfast was simple and tasty, and the staff were helpful and quick to respond. We booked activities and rented a scooter through them.
