The balcony view was better than the view outside, and the decor was a little nice, though everything looked somewhat old. We didn't like it and left the next day. The room was small, and because only one room was left, we had to take one with two beds. It wasn't cheap, either. There was nowhere to eat nearby, and everything felt far away with nowhere to go. Taxis didn't want to come in the evening, saying it was dangerous, so we couldn't go anywhere and got really bored. The road and the pier with the ships were inconvenient. There were no shower products in the room. Roosters crowed loudly all around, cars were easy to hear in the morning, and kids in the pool were shouting early too, so it was impossible to sleep.

We had a very comfortable stay in a lovely, clean, tidy place. Serangan harbour is just a few steps away, and our room had a view of it. Eka Jaya fast boat is within walking distance.

The beachfront setting and easy access to the port were real pluses for us, and getting a Gojek was simple. Just remember this is Serangan, a local bay area, so it isn’t a spotless Sumba or Gili beach. There can be some rubbish and local noise, which comes with the character of the area. Our room got wonderfully cold, and the hot shower had just the right temperature and strong pressure. The Wi-Fi was weak during our stay, though it didn’t bother us much. The bed was a little firm, but at this affordable price I wasn’t expecting a luxury King Koil mattress. Good value for what it costs.

The room was roomy and much cleaner than I expected, even though the bathroom was on the small side. The front desk team were friendly and ready to help. We tried both breakfast and dinner at the hotel, and neither let us down. The food was excellent. The nighttime bar was another highlight, with tasty food and drinks at prices far below what you’d find at other hotels. For Indonesian tastes, that’s a good deal. A fun place for a family or a couple to spend an evening.
