Peneeda View Beach

We wanted somewhere peaceful and safe, and this place fit that well. The atmosphere was very quiet, with hardly anyone using the pool. When we visited in February, around 80% of the guests seemed to be seniors. I got the impression it suits older adults and families more. Our villa was spacious and generally clean. It was pleasant but simple, and a few things were broken or looked close to breaking. Nothing that bothered us too much, but it’s why I wouldn’t give it another star. Beautiful, but not fancy, so don’t expect luxury. We stayed four nights. The beach is right there, and everything we needed was within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful, and quite easygoing about things like payment and booking changes. A good place if quiet is what you’re after, though it wasn’t amazing.

Stayed at the end of January 2026. The seaview rooms are away from the main pools, and it’s about a 25-minute walk along the beach path to Icon Mall. A good value beachfront hotel, with comfortable bedding and a peaceful feel if you’d rather avoid crowds.

The location is ideal, with access to the beach and pathway between the Hyatt and the Maya resorts. But the owner is still renting rooms and bungalows that are very aged and below a decent standard, which doesn’t feel respectful to guests. I hesitated after reading earlier reviews and booked just one night. There’s a video at reception saying this is one of the first hotels in Sanur. We can believe it. Even the sheets, towels and pool water seem to belong to the last century. This old Balinese-style hotel is still in its original state and has real potential, but it needs a very deep renovation to come back to life. I’d avoid it in its current condition.

There are four pools, so they didn’t feel crowded, with plenty of sunbeds. The resort is large and right on the beach. Rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean, with lots of drinking water, hot showers with great pressure, and a large fridge that’s handy for a longer stay. The restaurant is at the beach end and serves Indonesian and Western food. My downsides were the TV, which had no cable and only one English channel, BBC News. Since it rained at night, I would’ve liked to relax with a movie or two. The restaurant also ran out of beer in the afternoon. The location is great, within walking distance of lots of shops, restaurants and minimarts.
