Sudamala Resort, Sanur

The warmth of the Balinese people made the stay feel especially welcoming, and the Sanur area is lovely if you're after somewhere quiet and relaxing. Sudamala Resort Sanur is more than a beautiful building; it feels like an art space, with artwork throughout the property. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the pool and spa were excellent for relaxing. Breakfast was included and good, with a great menu and delicious pastries. The whole experience felt thoughtful. I'd definitely come back.

The staff are why we return to Sudamala. They're friendly and make you feel at home from arrival through departure. The resort is at the quieter end of sanur, with cafes and restaurants nearby, and the beach is a five-minute walk away. The resort has reserved sunbeds there, though we prefer the pool, where sunbeds are always free. Breakfast at Ares restaurant has a varied menu, even for fussy eaters. We also ate there several times in the evening; the food was nicely presented and made with good-quality ingredients. Our room was spacious, well air conditioned, and had a comfortable bed. Toiletries and fresh bottled water were replenished daily. We can't recommend this resort enough and look forward to coming back.

We first found Sudamala Resort while having dinner at Ares Restaurant, part of the hotel. It served the best food we had in Sanur, and when we looked around the hotel, we thought it was so nice. On our second stay in Sanur, we chose to stay here and really liked it, much more than the resorts at the beach. It's a luxurious place with open spaces, lots of art, a great large swimming pool with clean water, and great service. The rooms were clean, fresh, and spacious. On check-out day, we had an evening flight, and the hotel let us use all the facilities, including a shower, for the whole day, which was great before a long flight. We know where we'll stay next time we're in Sanur: Sudalama Resort. Thanks to the Sudalama Resort staff for all the good service.

Widu and his team made us feel welcome and relaxed during our fantastic week at Sudamala Sanur, and the service was excellent. The food was delicious, especially breakfast, which was a highlight. We've also stayed at Sudamala in Komodo, and Sanur has the same chilled vibe, with traditional Bali and modern comfort. It's excellent value for money and a boutique gem.
