Sunhouse Guesthouse

The guesthouse is about a 10-minute walk from the beach. There are local eateries and mini markets on the street, while places aimed at tourists are within five minutes on foot. I also liked having the pool and loungers for a day when I didn't feel like going to the beach. I stayed six nights in the Tulip room. The bed and thick duvet were comfortable, and I slept very well. There was a desk and chairs, fridge, AC and television, though I never used the TV. The bed and table took up most of the room, so there wasn't much space to move around, but that was fine. The bathroom was a good size, with a wall between the toilet and shower. Hot water was available day and night, pressure was okay, and the bathroom could use a refresh. Otherwise, the room was clean and comfortable. The shared area had an outdoor table and seats, a kitchen and the pool. A woman working onsite basically takes care of everything around the guesthouse. She keeps the rooms and grounds well looked after and is friendly and hospitable. For the price, there's little to complain about, and I'd happily stay again.

They were very helpful and accommodating when we needed to switch rooms, since the downstairs one was too small for two adults and two kids. We ended up upstairs with a balcony overlooking a nice green plot. Such a friendly family gave us a warm welcome to Sanur, and it's close enough to the beach and everything else.

The service here is outstanding, and there are lots of restaurants and warangs nearby. The beach is a short walk away, and the pool feels great after walking. We love the place, though the rooms, especially the bathrooms, are a bit dated.

Sunhouse was a lovely place to stay, with a cozy room in Balinese style. It's in a quiet neighborhood near Sanur beach. The people were very friendly, and the owner, Pak Budi, was kind and would greet and mingle with the guests. I'd definitely come back next time 😊
