The staff were fine and friendly, and the room hygiene was okay, but the toilet smelled and the facilities weren't well managed. For a cheap place to sleep for one night, it may be manageable if you're willing to put up with the drawbacks. Still, I don't think this stay was worth the price, since you could get better facilities somewhere else in a similar range. I booked a queen room through t*ket apps, but their system hadn't synced properly and I was assigned two single beds, so I had to change rooms. In the first room, the toilet water heater was broken and only gave water that was either too hot or too cold. The second room had a rusty showerhead and only cold water.

The room was in rough shape, old and poorly maintained, with a bad smell and dim lighting. There were flies and mosquitoes all over the bathroom, the toilet wasn't clean, the room's electrical socket didn't work, and the TV had no signal. They also asked for an extra 100k insurance deposit on arrival, saying it would be returned the next day. I'd never come across that for such a short stay. I was at RedDoorz in Sanur for one night after arriving from Gili, looking for somewhere near the shuttle bus stop. The location was convenient, about a minute's walk from where I was dropped off near Pizza Hut. McDonald’s and Chatime are close, and the beach and Icon Bali Mall are about a 10-minute walk away. Even with that location, the smell, poor room condition, and lack of cleanliness made the stay uncomfortable. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're really in a bind.

The best part was the 9-minute walk to the beach, beach bars, and restaurants. Apart from that, I absolutely wouldn't recommend this place. We're traveling on a budget and basic is fine for us, but you couldn't pay me to stay here again. We hadn't chosen this hotel. The place we booked was full, so we were sent here because both were RedDoorz partners. We knew it used to be an OYO and didn't have high hopes. The reception area was dim and grubby and needed maintenance. We took the lift to floor 2, which shows up as floor 3 because there's no ground-floor button, an unnecessarily confusing setup. The corridor looked promising, with fresh paint and modern-looking doors. The room seemed small and basic but okay at first. There was tea and coffee but no kettle, and I couldn't tell if one was available elsewhere. Then we noticed the bathroom mat, meant to be white, was black as if people had wiped their shoes on it. The bedding and pillows were covered in what looked like food, drink, and blood stains. We had no choice but to stay one night, so we slept on top of the duvet in our outdoor clothes and covered the pillows with spare T-shirts. Hundreds of ants were crawling up the door frame inside and outside the room, and around the lift area. We spent as much time as we could out of the room because it made us feel unclean. The staff seemed quite young and not very interested, though I suppose a job can just feel like a job when you're young, so I can't really be mad at that.
