Villa Taluh

We stayed for 19 days as a family of five, with three adults and children aged two and one. The first few days were difficult. We hadn't been told about the renovations before arriving: upstairs needed roof work, had no hot running water in the kitchen, and rain seeped into the kitchen and bedroom walls. Downstairs, only part of the gas stove worked, the Wi-Fi wiring was broken, and some bulbs were out. Technicians kept coming and going, so we had no privacy for those first three days. Mirah, the housekeeper, apologized a lot, and we complained, but didn't want to keep reporting repairs. The upstairs shower handle came off in my hand, with internal parts corroded by hard water. We were compensated for those three lost days only after we asked. After that, the rest of the stay was good. The villa was very clean, and being able to prepare food safely for the kids mattered most to us. The pool was clean and a good size and depth for children. Upstairs has its own private staircase outside the main downstairs area. The villa moved furniture so the kids could eat at an indoor table with AC. It has a walk score of 100, was quiet at night and provided drinking water. Mirah is good at her job. The owner, Dave, needs to spend time at his own property and fix things instead of relying on guests to point out everything that needs repair.
