The balcony views were epic, and we had a lot of fun watching the mischievous monkeys steal food left out. The workers did their best to keep them away. We stayed here on our honeymoon for a unique, adventurous experience. The room had a treehouse feel with wood everywhere. We arrived at night, and the narrow path and multiple stairs made it a bit hard to find and haul our luggage down. The beach, aptly called Impossible beach, was private and had few people because of all the stairs. We’d recommend it to anyone after an unusual, adventurous stay.
The beach views were the only good part for me, and I’m not sure they made the stay worth it. This was the worst place we stayed in Bali, and it cost more than most of the others. Everything else felt low quality. Amenities were often empty, and they didn’t provide bottled water in the villas. Franko seemed to be the only staff member doing any work while the others sat around. My girlfriend also caught scabies during this stay. The place seemed very unclean, and brown water came out of the bathtub.
A nice place for coffee right by the waves, with a beach suitable for all ages. The food is hearty and freshly prepared. You can sit at a table on the wooden deck or take a sun lounger and umbrella on the sand.
Do not book here. I paid double for an ocean suite with a king bed and a 60-square-meter room, then contacted the hotel a day before to confirm. They said they had double-booked it and only had a queen bed in a 30-square-meter room, half the size and worth half what I paid. They refused either a refund or the room I had booked. I spent over 24 hours on the phone trying to sort it out, then drove 2 hours to confront them in person. The room they showed us smelled of mold and sweaty clothes, as if they’d been sitting there for a month. It was unbearable. I argued with them for over an hour, and their “manager” laughed in our faces. In the end I had to call my bank and report what I considered a scam and fraud to get my money back. At 8pm, they left me scrambling to find another hotel. It was a disaster, and I regret every second. The good reviews seem paid to me. They blamed the booking site instead of taking responsibility, even though we were guests who paid for a room that was offered and didn’t receive it. Terrible people, the opposite of what Balinese people stand for. I’d stay far away for your own sanity. They should pay me for the mental health damage caused during my vacation. Biu Biu resort was the same price and top notch, and they took great care of me.
The walk to the hotel was a hidden path about 1 ft wide, and it felt like you could fall off at any moment. When we arrived, the room we’d paid double for had been given to someone else because it was double booked. They offered us a smaller room instead. It smelled of mildew and sweat, and we couldn’t stand to stay in it for more than a minute, so we looked for another place nearby. When we asked for a refund, they kept us waiting in the lobby for 2 hours. The manager laughed at us over the phone as if we were crazy. In the end we left and gave up on our $1500. After Koroawi scammed us, we found a better place nearby, Biu Biu resort, facing the ocean. It was worth every penny. This was the worst travel experience I’ve ever had. DO NOT STAY HERE, IT’S A SCAM.
