D'Tegal House

The owner clearly takes pride in keeping this small guesthouse in great shape. The rooms and pool were immaculate, and the pool was cleaned every day. Our layout had two double rooms for my parents, who are over 60, and me. There are rooms on both the ground and second floors. It sits in a quiet alley, with just a handwritten sign to point the way. Jungut Batu beach is a three-minute walk away, and there's a modern, hygienic warung nearby with local food at fair mid-range prices. You don't need to go far for a good meal. After several trips to Bali's mainland and a second visit to Nusa Lembongan since 2022, I know the usual standard of guesthouses in the area. This place quickly put any initial doubts to rest. It's a small, cozy hidden gem with real character. If you'd like to support a genuinely local business instead of one run by local people but owned by foreigners, this is a memorable, authentic stay in Nusa Lembongan.

We only spent one night here, using it as a base, and it was just right. Staff were brilliant, and they left cold water plus coffee and a kettle for the morning. The room was spotless, the beds really comfy, and the water pressure was excellent after a day at the beach. The pillows were a bit overstuffed for me, but that's a small thing, especially given how good everything else was and the value for money. We didn't use the pool or deckchairs, but it was nice to have them available. It's a great location, just an eight-minute walk from where the boat arrived. You can hire a motorbike next door to explore the island. I'd highly recommend it.

I had a lovely time in the crystal-clear pool, and my room was spotless, with daily cleaning. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they arranged a very enjoyable Nusa Penida tour for a good price. Amazing homestay, easily the best place in Lembongan for me!

Finding D’Tegal House takes a little attention, but follow the signs shown in picture 6 and you’ll get there. I stayed three nights while doing dive courses, and the location made it easy to reach dive centers, shops, restaurants, and Jungutbatu Beach. The local owner was quick to reply, very friendly, and even showed me to my dive center. He looks after the garden too, squirrels and all, and sells tickets at reasonable prices. My room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, with strong water flow and working AC. A perfect stay.
