D'Puncak Villas Lembongan

OMG, I have to give this place five stars. The trees are a lovely touch, and I could hear birds chirping each morning. The room was spotless, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It all made my holiday unforgettable. Thank you! I’d come back next time.

I’ve stayed in quite a few places on this island over the years, but this is where I’ll keep coming back. The staff are friendly, the pool is clean, the gardens are beautiful, the showers are nicely hot, and the rooms are comfortable. If you hire a bike, the location is ideal, right in the middle of the island, so you can get pretty much anywhere in 10 minutes.

The owner came to welcome us and introduce himself, and the staff had decorated with flower petals and left us a cake. Many thanks for such a warm arrival. The room was comfortable and clean, with a fridge, a fantastic bathroom and working A/C. There’s decent motorbike parking, and the location is good, not too far from the central area. An international import store is nearby, along with a great eatery next door called Warung Cassava. A couple of drawbacks: the grounds seem to attract mosquitoes, and breakfast is quite limited and uninspiring. One option, for example, was just a couple slices of bread with a small amount of jam. Still, we had a comfortable stay.

We rented a scooter through the property to get around. There’s no breakfast service, which was probably the one thing that didn’t quite satisfy us, though you can get breakfast at a nearby place instead. The guide in the apartment suggested local sights, activities and restaurants. We tried two of the restaurants and both were excellent, going back to one twice. The houses face a gorgeous, pristine garden and swimming pool. They’re clean, well maintained and have everything you need. The area is very peaceful, and we had a great stay.
