I’ve stayed at Kiwi a few times over the years and have good memories of it. My first visit was in 2008, when you could get a beer there. The rooms were a bit run down then, but the newer rooms are better. The last time I stayed, I was the only guest.

There was no soap, towel, or shower. The fan didn’t work, and the chair was broken.

For transit, it’s okay if you’re already looking for a hotel, but I only stayed one night. The Deluxe room is 225,000 Rupiah, which is 50,000 Rupiah more than the 175,000 Rupiah non-AC room. The only room amenity is towels. The sink can’t be used, and although there’s a bathtub in the bathroom, you still have to shower using the tub.

Okay for a quick stop in the early morning, but some of the furniture isn’t fit to use anymore. There aren’t enough electrical sockets, and the room lights are too dim.
