Our room was cosy, roomy and comfortable, and falling asleep to waves breaking in the distance was lovely. The resort sits on an empty bay, with a deserted stretch of beach running as far as you can see in either direction. A lovely choice for a quiet getaway.

Nadège, the owner, is a real ray of sunshine, and the staff are so welcoming. The two villas are comfortable and have magnificent sea views. Food is made with fresh local products, and there are butter, cheeses, salt, homemade jams and bread. The bruschetta are a killer, and the homemade Tatin pie and fantastic bread deserve a mention too. Wera Beach is right by the sea, reached after crossing a little local savanna and going along the mangroves. It's a beautiful spot to rest and experience the still wild, authentic East Sumba.

The owners are the best part, a really friendly French couple who gave us good advice. We stayed two nights and strongly recommend it. The bungalows are very nice, and the accommodation is right in front of the beach.

A nice, very private villa with air conditioning and hot water. The owner is French, so the breakfast they serve is French style. You can also order food at their restaurant, with prices from Rp. 50.000 - 200.000.

We found the place through Airbnb, then had to ask local people for directions 😂. On the map it's closer to pantai maujawa, and if you follow Google Maps you'll still be more than 1 km away from this point. The very nice couple who own it helped us during our stay. Breakfast was home baked pastry and bread with homemade jam, with the sea right in front of my room 😍. It felt like home away from home. On clear days the sunrise was beautiful, and you can hear birds, crickets and the sea nearby. The only nuisance was insects coming into the room when it poured outside. Signal is hard to get here, though it sometimes works with [Telkomsel provider]. Do visit 👍
