Hotel Gunung Mas Syariah

There are lots of restaurants nearby, and the location is handy for Candi Arjuna, other temples, and some tourist attractions. Parking is good, and the weather heater worked well, which you need because it gets freaking cold there, especially at night. There's a mosque 🕌 behind the hotel, so prayers are very loud when they start because of the loudspeaker. We get what we pay for, let's be clear about that first!

For IDR 200 k per room on a weekend, you get basic accommodation, and Dieng has limited lodging choices. There's plenty of parking. The hot shower works as long as you check first that nobody else in the 'hotel' is using it. Otherwise, it dies. 😂

The accommodation is affordable, with plenty of rooms in different sizes. There’s a large parking lot, free breakfast, and you can make as much tea or coffee as you want. The shower has hot or rather warm water. Cleanliness could be better, though.

There are lots of room options for two, three, or four beds, and each room has its own bathroom. Water, coffee, tea, and sugar are free, so you can make a hot drink whenever you like. Cleanliness was poor, though. Still, it was better than the previous place I stayed.
