Patra Dumai Hotel

The receptionist did an excellent job, and the linen and towels were clean and fresh. Still, the lobby ceiling needs fixing right away. We also saw housekeeping making an extra bed in the corridor. Security could use a briefing on helping guests with their luggage: two staff members were standing at the door and asked, “Do you have many luggage?” The soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion bottles should be made from a better, more flexible material so it’s easier to squeeze them.

Breakfast had lots of choices, with indoor or outdoor seating by the pool, where smoking is allowed. Check-out was quick, and the staff were polite, helpful, and good. Our booking details had a small issue at check-in, but it was sorted out fairly quickly. The room was neat, clean, and comfortable, though the air conditioner didn’t always work well. The WiFi was also unreliable, especially on my last night.

It’s a government corporate-owned hotel in the Pertamina Group, and it’s recently renovated. The rooms are a decent size, clean, comfortable, and each has its own air purifier. Breakfast was acceptable, and I’d be happy to stay here again. For now, it’s definitely one of the best hotels in Dumai city.

I stayed here for my sister’s wedding and found the room really clean and fancy, with all the amenities provided. The food tasted very good, and breakfast included a traditional menu. The pool is a nice size, not too big or small. The location isn’t all that far from everywhere, so I’d recommend staying here in Dumai.
