We stayed for two nights after coming down from Kelimutu, before carrying on with our road trip to Bajawa. The room was large and clean, with a hot shower, and breakfast was simple: fried rice, fried noodles, eggs, coffee and tea. It’s right by the main road, so there can be some noise from traffic and reception, since our room was just behind the counter. It was a little quieter at night.

The balcony has a nice view, and the staff were friendly and quick to respond. The room felt a bit old, but it was clean enough, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom had mold and smelled bad, though the hot water worked. A simple, comfortable place for a night. Recommended.

The AC in our room smelled so awful that we woke up at 2 a.m. and nearly threw up. We asked to move, but they only agreed once we said we’d put the mattress out in the hallway. Nobody even apologized. Don’t stay here.

I could see the mountain from my room, which was clean and comfortable. I stayed at Berlian Hotel for two nights, and the service was very good. The staff were really friendly, and I’d definitely stay here again.

The rooftop could be made even nicer with some tables and chairs. As it is, this was probably the best value for money in Ende: clean, new rooms with AC, hot showers, good staff and breakfast, plus water refills. Five stars.
