Don’t expect a swimming pool, flat screen TV, bath tub, or hot water. The air conditioner is old school. Still, the hotel is quite clean and the service is very kind. Soekarno's heritage house is nearby, about a five minute walk, and there are plenty of places to eat and small stores close by.

The location is good, by the port and close to the pasar, and everyone was very friendly. The rooms, including the superior ones, are very basic and a little unclean. There’s no hot water for tourists, only in rooms that aren’t available to them, and the bath is primitive and dirty, with a basic shower. It can be noisy inside, including when conventions with singing are held in the upstairs aula. The music was well crafted :-) The restaurant was closed, but drinks and snacks were for sale. Parking is in an open but secured courtyard.
