We kept extending our stay because we loved it there. The rooms sit behind the garden and each has a terrace, bamboo furniture, and AC. When Karyadi's nephew got married, the whole place was closed, but they let us stay as the only guests and invited us to the celebrations. They introduced us to the family too, which felt like a uniquely local experience. Thanks again for including us! The little restaurant serves tasty food for a good price, and Ibu makes lovely fruit pancakes for breakfast.

The food was some of the best I've ever eaten. You can tell how much care goes into every dish, like the kind of home cooking you'd look forward to at Christmas. Duyung is funny and relaxed, and makes sure you're looked after from the moment you're welcomed into the beautiful home. The rooms are really clean and nice, and even as a solo traveller I thought it was good value. I'd definitely stay again if I get the chance to return.

The owner is friendly and respectful, and you feel at home from the start. Rooms are very clean, with a little balcony that's nice for unwinding after a surf. The restaurant is delicious and inexpensive. There's internet, drinking water, and as much coffee as you want.

The family made us feel so welcome, calling it our second home, and it really did feel that way. They kept being helpful and supportive even after we checked out. We stayed at Duyung for six days and had a great time. The rooms are spacious, clean, and good value. The food was among the best we had in town, so it's worth stopping by for a meal even if you're not staying. Hope we can visit Duyung again soon!
