3 Angels Homestay

Villa 2 had a lovely garden with tropical plants and a frangipani tree, plus a private pool that gets sun most of the day and has a few shady spots. We spent plenty of time lounging on the two sunbeds or by the bench, and there’s an outdoor shower too. The bathroom is partly open to the outdoors and the shower pressure was good. Mosquitoes can get in, especially if the room door is left open, but the bed’s mosquito net helped at night. The location made it easy to reach Gili Air’s main street on foot for restaurants, cafés, and shops. Our hosts and the staff were lovely and gave us useful tips. Rory is such a bundle of joy! 🤩 We also appreciated that breakfast was included, with a choice of options. A couple of small things could be improved: the AC could be stronger, perhaps it needs cleaning or a refill, and there’s a gap around the bathroom and garden door that might let mosquitoes through. We would have preferred slightly thicker sheets, too. None of that got in the way of a really enjoyable couple of nights. We loved the stay and would gladly recommend it. ♥️

The location worked really well, with the harbour about a 10-minute walk away and the nearest beach around five minutes on foot. There are loads of tasty warungs nearby, and you can rent snorkelling gear just around the corner. We came as a family with our 4-year-old daughter and were looking for a villa with a pool. 3 Angels turned out to be a great choice. Putra and his friend were super nice and made us a delicious breakfast every day. The villa was spacious enough for the three of us, and the pool was clean and so nice to relax in!

The staff were lovely, and breakfast was good. It’s a cute homestay in a little garden, with a comfortable, roomy and handy room and an outdoor bathroom. Being nearer the middle of the island keeps it away from the busy coast, while still making things easy to reach. Bikes are available to hire and are highly recommended for getting around. They’re fun, too.

Rudy and his team made us feel very welcome and were a big part of a great stay on Gili Air. Just be aware there may be two 3 Angel locations: ours didn’t have the pool shown in the photos. That was fine for us, since the beach was only a five-minute walk away. We’d happily return and recommend the place.
