Captain Coconuts Gili Air

I booked a dorm bed at CC for two nights, and they did a great job all around. The hanging bamboo bed style was lovely, though you need a little practice with the mosquito net. Everything was very clean, the outside looked beautiful, and breakfast was great. They also rent out pretty good bikes. I had a look inside one of the bungalows, and it was really beautiful. Guys, just get some clothes pegs for the nets! I’ll definitely come back 😊

The food was some of the best I had on my seven-week solo trip around Bali and the Gili Islands. I liked it so much that, now I’m home in the UK, I’ve started making some of their recipes myself. The floating beds were unforgettable. Waking up there, surrounded by nature, felt peaceful and special, and made it easy to slow down and be present. Captain Coconuts was my favourite of all the places I stayed. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcome. It was clean, calm and warm, and the staff were incredibly kind and friendly. Their service went above and beyond, with nothing ever feeling like too much trouble. I already can’t wait to return. It’ll always have a special place in my heart. Thank you ❤️

My friend’s birthday was such a special moment. They sang for her and made a really nice plate for her birthday. Everyone there was lovely, kind and accommodating, and we loved our time at captain coconuts. The coffee and breakfast were great. Definitely recommend! :)

I was so taken with this place that I extended my stay by three more nights. It’s my favourite hostel in Indonesia. The pool area is gorgeous, and the free afternoon tea was a highlight for me as a solo traveller. The staff were lovely, especially friendly, smiley Eddie!
