The stay was a mess from the start. It’s a long way from the port, around a 25-minute walk with luggage. When we arrived, they couldn’t find our booking and wouldn’t accept it. The staff hadn’t been kept in the loop, so we waited outside for a whole hour in hot, humid weather, with no proper place to wait, while they checked. It turned out they hadn’t booked any rooms. When we finally got inside, the bedsheet was stained, the bathroom door wouldn’t close, and there was no water pressure in either the Muslim shower or the regular shower. The sink was clogged with no drain, and the light didn’t work. There were mosquitoes and other animals in the room too. We had breakfast included for two people for all three days, but didn’t get it once because nobody was at reception. From the second day on, the staff were rude and mean. There was no way to reach the owner or a manager for help. Save your money, time, energy, and mental health, and find somewhere better and cheaper.

The location is great. I stayed in room 1, and waking up with the sunrise was amazing. It’s very quiet, the staff are friendly, and you only have to cross the street to go snorkeling.
Breakfast was good, and I liked the room and the feel of the place. They don't clean the rooms or give you fresh towels, which was my only complaint. I'd still stay here again.
The staff are the heart of this place. They're fun, cheerful, attentive, and really try to make your stay good. They can arrange almost anything, and helped us figure out fair prices for things. The location is fantastic: we saw turtles out front almost every day, and the sunrises are gorgeous. Food is simple but tasty, the air conditioning works well, and the beds and pillows are comfortable. The rooms and grounds could use some upkeep, though. Some furniture could do with an update, and room 9 needs a new toilet seat. We stayed in rooms 9 and 6: the air conditioning in 9 was great, while 6 struggled, and 9 had a good hot shower while 6 was cold. It'd be a much nicer stay if the rooms matched the great energy of the people working here.
The staff made this place for me. I've never met a group that's so funny and happy, and I'd come back to Indonesia just to see them again. Ari, estás como un cencerro!!! But what a smile you've got. You all have such a lovely, joyful energy. Thanks for everything, legends!
