Nusa Indah Bungalows

I wish I could have stayed longer. It’s right by the sea, with cold AC, breakfast, and bikes and snorkel gear available for a low rental price. The staff are so nice, and the island vibe is low-key. You can walk to everything, and it’s a great spot for peace and a sunset every night. They can book a snorkeling trip with great guides.

I’ve stayed here more than once and keep coming back. The rooms and bungalows are clean and air-conditioned, and the staff are attentive and helpful. It may not be the island’s most luxurious place, but it’s great value. That says enough, right? :-)

The location is peaceful and dark at night, with a nice spot by the beach, and the staff do try to be friendly. It’s also budget-friendly. Just know that every room has only cold, salty shower water, which wasn’t mentioned. The place is dated and very basic, with bright white lights, no decor, a poor breakfast, and no lighting around the property at night. The bathroom didn’t drain properly, and I had a few communication problems with the staff.

We were given a room, not a Bangalow, and it was the worst place I’ve ever stayed. They first said it wasn’t ready, then called it ready, but it was filthy, badly run-down, and smelled strongly of sewage as soon as we walked in. It was already late in the day, so we had nowhere else to go. There were bugs on the bed and the sheets were stained, and we couldn’t even sleep in the bed. We’d booked three nights, but left the next morning because the sewage smell was unbearable. The people were okay, but didn’t seem fazed when we told them about it.
