The outdoor bathroom was a highlight, and the breakfast was on another level. It was authentic and we really enjoyed it. We stayed three nights about a week ago, and found the place very clean and well located. There was no hot water, though I’m sure the whole island is like that. We didn’t speak with Max(the owner), but saw him around at least twice during our stay, which was nice and gave the impression he cares. Stay here, you won’t regret it!

Max, a really nice French free-diver, runs this lovely little guesthouse and was happy to answer questions about where to go or eat on the island. It’s close to the Harbor, and the rooms were very comfortable and astonishingly clean, with good AC and thoughtful details like European molding on the ceilings. Breakfast was very good, especially the homemade French bread and banana bread. Wifi was spotty now and then, but you don’t come to Gili Air for wifi. There’s also a bit of a discount at 3W dive if you stay here. I’d highly recommend it!

For a budget stay in Gili Air, Rival village worked very well for us. The location was convenient, and the rooms were simple but very clean, with AC and a nice bathroom. Max welcomed us warmly and marked some good places to eat and swim on the map. Breakfast was very good too, especially the bread.

I was here in low season and got a great price. The bathroom was amazing, partly open to the sky so you can shower under the stars. Rooms were cosy and clean, and breakfast was included and really good. Those banana pancakes are to die for. I can definitely recommend this place!

At Rival Village, the owners were very kind and breakfast was delicious. Our room was spacious and spotless, and the location works well for both the pier and the beaches. Definitely recommended!
