There was lots of greenery, a mango tree, and a really lovely pool, and the rooms looked nice. Still, the stay was pretty average for us, and we picked it because it looked pretty and had decent reviews. The noise was a big issue. Chickens called through the night, the mosque’s first prayer came over a loudspeaker just before 5 a.m. for 20-30 minutes, and neighbors played loud music early in the morning or late at night. We wore earplugs every night and still didn’t sleep well. The bed wasn’t very comfortable either. The room felt exposed, so bugs and geckos got in. One night the AC started pouring water and woke us up, though the owner fixed it in the morning. Breakfast was free, but mostly eggs and fruit, so we ate elsewhere most days. I probably wouldn’t stay again. If sleep matters to you, I’d look at the top or middle right side of the island.

The pool area was a lovely place to relax, and the location was just right for staying on the island. We had a perfect stay, with such friendly, welcoming staff.

I planned on three days and extended twice. It’s away from the crowds but only ten minutes from the ferry. The bungalow was comfortable and very affordable, with daily cleaning if you want it. The pool was very clean and big enough for swimming, and breakfast was good, with eggs and fruit salad.

We spent seven lovely nights in the bungalow. It was big and clean, with good AC, hot water, and a more than decent bed. The courtyard and pool were clean, and the staff were friendly. A heads-up: roosters and the call to prayer will wake you around 4-5 a.m., though that’s true of pretty much anywhere on the island and outside the hotel’s control. One suggestion for the owner: please install ceiling fans in the dining room. There’s no air moving in there, so it gets roasting hot at breakfast. Two fans would make a huge difference.
