The owner/manager was really lovely, friendly, and helpful, and the location is perfect. You can rent bikes nearby, including from the owner for $6 AUD for 24 hours. I’d recommend bringing a phone holder for the bike or Bluetooth headphones to help with directions. It seems fine for a couple of nights, but I wouldn’t stay much longer. We got a lovely welcome, and the cottages are cute and pretty inside, with the basic essentials but nothing fancy. Some things need work: water pressure is poor and the water smells. The power can go out, as happens on the island, so message the owner if it hasn’t come back. Bedding is just sheets. There are ants outside and they find their way into the cottage.

The area in Nort Gili Meno was quiet, and the room was cozy and clean. AC worked perfectly, breakfast was wonderful, and the staff were so lovely. The beach is at most a two-minute walk away, and the most famous turtle sight spot is five minutes on foot. The room is worth the price. I loved this little place and would definitely come back. Thanks for having me. 🤍

The clear water and beautiful turtles at the beach were the one good part. The room was filthy, mice ran around inside, and we couldn’t sleep, so we had to cut our stay short. On top of that, the shower only had cold saltwater and the air conditioning didn’t work, so it was really hot. Nature around there is beautiful, but please do yourself a favor and don’t stay at Balikosa Bungalows unless you want the same experience we had. I’d never stay again and strongly advise others to avoid it.

A nice spot to relax, with only four “villas” on the property. The traditional-style rooms get extremely hot during the day, so you won’t want to spend time inside when the sun is out.

The lady who runs this place is a sweetheart, so kind and friendly. Tucked up at the top end of Meno, it’s quiet and secluded, with a lovely gentle beach behind it. A few good restaurants and a variety of warungs are nearby. I’ll miss this spot for the rest of my trip.
