We had a good stay, and the staff were really friendly. The main issue for my partner was that it wasn’t right by the beach. 🤣 Some things are worn but still work, and you have to keep expectations in check on a tiny island with a 5 kilometre circumference where supplies arrive only by small boat. The food was about what you’d expect. I’d go for local dishes, since they know how to cook those best. We could stay here again.

The rooms are spacious enough, clean, and well equipped. The pool and garden are lovely, and the staff are very polite. You can rent a bike for 30k/day. It’s a 7-minute walk from the harbour and 2 minutes from the beach. Wifi is only so-so, but fine for basic things. Breakfast is typical Indonesian fare. The restaurant food is good, though not delicious: they don’t use salt, pepper, or other spices, so it tastes really plain.

A quiet, very nice hotel on Gili Meno, just a 2-minute walk from the beach. The restaurant food was great, and the staff were incredibly polite and helpful. I recommend it.

This is just a review of Ciara’s restaurant. The Chicken Tikka Masala was more like potato soup with Indian spices, with the chef seemingly dropping in a bit of chicken by mistake. The spring roll sauce was too watery, which left the dough fluffy, though the filling was acceptable. The chocolate cake was really good to my taste, worth 2 stars. They said it’s made in Lombok, which doesn’t surprise me. Ask which menu items are made in Lombok if you want to enjoy your meal!

Definitely five stars. By far the best food on this isle, and the waiter speaks good English, which isn’t common. There’s no sea view, but the atmosphere is very smooth. Visit this local place instead of a bad one on the coast.
