Banana Leaf Bungalows

Breakfast was delicious, and both places I stayed, the resort and the bungalow, were clean and comfortable. What really stood out, though, was how the Banana Leaf team looked after me. My previous accommodation flooded in heavy rain, so I had to find somewhere else at the last minute. Even though I arrived late, they welcomed me warmly, helped carry my things through the downpour, checked me in quickly, and made ginger tea when I was sick. They also helped sort things out with my old accommodation. Alvin was especially kind and helpful, and his warmth made a stressful situation much easier. Thanks to him and everyone there. I'm so glad I booked and met such lovely people on the island.

I ended up staying 16 nights after extending three times, and would happily come back. The staff, especially Hilman, were so, so kind. After long days out, they'd offer me water and ginger tea, and breakfast each morning was great. My bungalow was gorgeous and super clean, with a lovely terrace and a private outdoor bathroom. The shower was amazing and had hot water. Great location too, and the amenities were really good for the price. The people are what make Banana leaf special.

Breakfast was included and delicious, and the staff were amazing. You can rent bikes right there, too. The bungalow is in a really handy spot, two streets from the beach and the main road with all the shops and restaurants. One snag at first: the contact number listed on Google is wrong, so it was hard to reach them. Hopefully they update it. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend the place.

We liked the place enough to stay another 5 nights. For the price, it has just the basics, which fit the island vibe perfectly, and it felt like a little home away from home. The staff made us feel welcome. We'd stay again. Thanks, Hilman!
