Creative Homestay

My first two hotels were full and couldn’t extend my stay, so I moved here. It turned into a nightmare. I asked to cancel, but the host ignored me even though the place didn’t match the hotel description. There were mosquitoes everywhere, no toiletries or other amenities, no hair dryer, and no hot water. The toiletries were dirty, as were the bed and towel, which still had hairs on it. The road to the hotel is mostly unsealed, making luggage hard to push. We also had a power trip, and there was only one plug point in the room and bathroom. Agoda couldn’t resolve the issue for me. I paid this amount and would have preferred to stay at Gili Beach Wind. I spoke with local people, and they agreed the hotel was terrible.

For a very cheap price, you get a well located place to sleep, but hygiene was poor. The bathroom was dirty, the toilets were black, and the beds were dirty and uncomfortable. WiFi barely worked. Breakfast was included, but both mornings we couldn’t find anyone to ask about it. Around 5 each morning, loud prayers from the church woke us up.

The location is great, close to the port but tucked away from street noise, and the guys are really friendly. Breakfast is included, and they were very helpful in arranging snorkelling trips. The shower pressure was very low, though, and you can hear everything in the neighboring rooms 😅

The reception guys were so kind and helpful. We had a really good night at creative homestay, which is ideally placed, about eight minutes on foot from the pier and five from the busy area. I’d recommend it if you’re spending a few nights in Gili T 😊
