Gili T Heaven

Ramon enjoys chatting with guests and wants to practise his English, so take a little time to get to know him. The hosts were warm and friendly, and we felt at home at Gili Pelangi. They even made us coffee and a tasty breakfast though it wasn’t included in the price. Eddie also makes lovely jewellery that you can buy from him.

The rooms were excellent, and the young staff were incredibly friendly. On our first night, they invited guests to sit with them and try traditional palm wine and rice wine from Lombok. Ansori and Eddie kept me laughing all evening with their jokes. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The staff were warm, generous, and always smiling, very much the Gili T vibe. I stayed three nights in a good bungalow, though the room was small and cramped. It’s beside the Mosque, so the call to prayers woke me each morning. Beautiful, spiritual, awakening... I’ll be back!

I was charged for bike rental at the end of the trip, despite being told it was free. The owner and staff were rude, and the rooms were run-down. There was no television, refrigerator, shampoo, or soap, and credit cards weren’t accepted. The worst accommodation in Gili Trawangan.
