The grounds were clean and the atmosphere was pleasant, and being near the island’s center meant everywhere was about a 15-20-minute walk or a 5-10-minute drive. The road there runs through a strange, muddy field, though dirt seems to be everywhere on the island. We thought we’d booked a villa for four, but actually had two separate rooms facing the shared pool. The owners, a lovely couple with two children, were there too, and two girls rented a room in another part of the house. We were the only ones using the pool. The hosts were lovely and served breakfast every morning, but there was no cleaning during our four-day stay. Our rooms had air conditioning, wardrobes, double beds, toilet paper, a small bar of soap, and towels. Bikes were available to rent on site, though they were so-so, and you’d be better off finding a newer one by the sea.
