OYO 1991 Pondok Wahyu

The location was good and the bed was comfortable, but the state of the room let the place down. There was no sink, so we had to wash our hands in the shower. On arrival, there was no toilet paper, and they don't provide soap. The staff were friendly, but the room standards need more attention, including putting a sink in the bathroom. Rooms should be checked before guests arrive for toilet paper, towels, and cockroaches.

The island is tiny and easy to get around, with beaches close by everywhere. Our room, number 7 beside reception, had no sink, and the place wasn't very clean. We booked ahead because places were selling out, but after arriving we found somewhere better the next day.

We booked three nights, but on arrival were told Agoda had the wrong price and we'd need to pay 75% more than we'd already paid. Nobody had contacted me by phone or email beforehand. When we said it was too expensive, staff claimed it was still the cheapest price on the island, but we quickly found another place at the price we'd originally paid. They apologized for the Agoda price issue, but wouldn't let me use their phone to call Agoda about getting a refund. Having to spend an hour looking for a new hotel because nobody contacted me before we arrived, along with the poor hospitality, is why I'm leaving a bad review.

I had my earplugs in and still couldn't hear myself think. The music was unbelievably loud until 3:30am, with people screaming at the top of their lungs. Is this a nightclub instead of a hostel? There was no way a person could sleep there. Worst night ever, and the worst decision of my trip.
