Katara Gili Boutique Rooms and Bungalows

It's a quiet spot, and some great beach places on the East shore are just a few minutes away. Everything on the island is close by if you're happy to ride a bike. We felt welcome as soon as we came through the door. The staff are kind and funny, and make an awesome breakfast every day. The facilities felt clean, and our room was a good size, with a modern bathroom and really good A/C. There's a little book shelf, a big pool with loungers and a few games. The minibar has thoughtful drinks at a good price, and the on-site laundry was a godsend, with express and 24-hour service. There's also a water cooler to refill from. The hot water sometimes took a while in the shower, but it didn't bother us. We loved our stay at Katara and would happily return.

We loved our four nights here. The whole place was spotless, our room was cleaned every day, and the meals were delicious. The staff are lovely too. We'd definitely stay again!

Getting here takes you through a bit of a labyrinth, but once you arrive, it's a quiet, cozy place to stay. Update: The food is good, the internet is high-speed, which is kind of rare on this island, and they can arrange all sorts of activities. There's a list in the attached photos. I recommend them!

The vegetarian chili con carne I had at Bonny’s Kitchen was the yummiest I've ever tasted. The pool was clean and cool, a refreshing place to swim, and even though we were very close to the Mosque, we couldn't hear the early prayers from our room. We spent a fantastic week here on our honeymoon. The rooms were beautiful and clean, and the staff were amazing. Every day they made a different towel animal for our bed, such a great touch. The aircon was nice and cold, and the location was very central. Highly recommend!
