Love Coconut Bungalow

The bungalow looks cute from the outside, but it needs a lot of work inside. There’s nowhere to put your things or hang clothes, and the bathroom had very weak water pressure with no hot water. The room was dirty and had lots of bugs. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the harbour. Staff spoke no English, breakfast was a disaster, and service and replies were extremely slow. One staff member seemed high in the evening and mumbled when we asked questions. The price was acceptable on its own, but too much for the room and service. They should improve the bungalow, then the cost would make more sense. Instead of a hammock, an outdoor dining table and a small wall wardrobe would be useful.

A nice place to stay. The room is small, and the outdoor bathroom is a feature. The entrance gate is so tiny it can be hard to spot, but that was okay. Robby was helpful.

I loved how peaceful Love Coconut felt, even though it’s right in the heart of Gili T. Everything was easy to get to, yet the place stayed quiet, and you could barely hear the mosque compared with the louder center. The calm surroundings, greenery, and warm people made me feel safe and at ease. Wayan helped arrange a bike straight away, with e-scooters also available, and sorted out snorkeling and surfing activities. One evening we had a BBQ with a lovely group, good conversation, and that connected island feeling. I felt like part of a little island family. The bungalows are simple and cozy, set among lush nature. Waking to birds and the gentle island sounds was grounding. Breakfast felt lovingly made, and the smoothie bowl and banana pancakes were delicious. Wayan is funny, joyful, and warm, and really makes you feel at home. Lucky the sweet little cat and Robby, the kindest staff member, made the place feel even more welcoming. Some parts have recently been renovated, including new roofs and a fully renewed pool area, though a few small repairs are still underway. Wayan cares for the property and keeps working to make guests’ stays special. A particularly moving moment for me was Wayan’s Balinese prayer, which brought a feeling of peace and spiritual depth. Gili T may be known for partying, but Love Coconut showed me its soulful, magical side. I had an unforgettable stay and will definitely come back. I’m so grateful for the beautiful time here.

I arrived with my family and luggage for a one-night booking, but found what felt like an abandoned, filthy property, full of cobwebs. The moss-covered pool and awful outdoor washroom were no better. Nobody answered or called back despite 15 calls. Although it’s central, the place is beside a large water-filled dump, and getting there at night could be difficult with no lights around. I cancelled and had to look for somewhere livable, which caused a lot of stress and disruption. There was no information beforehand or anyone around to help. I really don’t understand the positive reviews. LOVE COCONUT IS A SCAM!
