We ended up leaving in the middle of the night because the room was so awful. The beds were dirty, and one pillow was literally yellow and stained. There was no hot water or soap, and the bathroom door wouldn’t close properly, so bugs kept coming and going. The room had cobwebs, cockroaches everywhere, and a rat we could hear eating all night but couldn’t find. A spider fell on me in the middle of the night, too. I don’t understand the good ratings. Don’t stay here.

The staff were so welcoming and let us check out 1.5 hours late at no extra charge because the weather was really bad and our boat wasn’t leaving until later. Breakfast was included and lovely, and the accommodation itself was beautiful.

We were happy enough at the Madison that we regretted leaving for the other hotel we’d booked for the next day. The welcome was warm, the pool and rooms spotless, and the wifi worked perfectly. They provided water bottles and a toothbrush and toothpaste kit, and we could help ourselves to drinking water on site. We also rented bikes there. Thanks again!

It’s an easy walk from the hotel to the port, about 6 minutes. The rooms are clean and the service is really nice. You can hear the floor or door creak, and our bed made a noise whenever we moved, but it didn’t keep us awake. Breakfast was good, with a few egg choices and really tasty pancakes. Our TV was broken.

It’s an easy walk from the harbor, so there’s no need to arrange a ride. You can also rent good quality bikes here for a great price. The staff were friendly and very helpful, and my room was tidy and immaculately clean. The accommodation exceeded my expectations.
