It’s an easy place to get back to again and again. The owners are a wonderful couple with lots of hosting experience, and they pay attention to whatever you need. Mbah speaks English very well, gives useful advice, and rents bikes too. The garden is beautiful, and the shower and air conditioning were good. It’s close to the port and amenities, but set on a quiet street away from the noise, all for a reasonable price. Terima kasih 🧚🏼♀️

The owners made us feel at home, and the garden has a nice shady spot to sit. Our room was clean, and both the air conditioning and shower worked well. The location is great. We had a lovely stay.

The room was a bit dark because there isn’t much natural light, but it’s great value if you’re choosing a homestay over a hostel. This place sits right in the middle of Gili Trawangan and gives you a sweet, intimate glimpse of the Indonesian villages. It isn’t a party hostel, so be considerate of other guests and keep relatively quiet if you come back late. You can hear the prayers during the day, and Mbahmek is happy to help with anything he can.

We booked two nights and ended up adding two more. It’s a lovely, peaceful spot, just a few minutes from the beach and main street, with free bikes. The room was clean, the bed was good, and the bathroom was nice. Mbah Mek is welcoming, friendly, intelligent, and speaks very good English. His wife makes a fresh, varied breakfast every day, probably the best we had in Indonesia. I’d highly recommend it.
