Triple Tree Villa

The price change is what left me most upset. We had agreed on 3M a month for two months, but a week before the next payment the owner raised it to 6M. I felt the increase should have been communicated much sooner. For that price, I don't think the room is worth it, and I think the owner may keep struggling to fill rooms at 6M a month given the issues here. The room is tiny, with just a bedroom and bathroom. The walls are in disrepair, with plaster falling off, and the location isn't desirable. The shower water was so cold it was hard to get my whole body under it, even after a day in the sun. There's an air conditioning unit, but it worked essentially like a fan, with no air conditioning extractions inside or outside. The shared kitchen was also hard to use because the fridge was so full there was hardly room for my food. There was a lot of trash in the green areas around the property, including used baby nappies, and the surroundings looked a mess. I was saddened that I had to play tug of war with staff to stop them burning trash I was trying to take to the Gili Eco trust for recycling. There were some positives: the bed was comfortable, I slept well, the staff were friendly, helpful, and supportive, and the location was far enough from a mosque that I barely heard it. We eventually moved to a bigger place with a kitchen and separate bedroom, right in the centre, for 2.5M a month. I only wish we'd found it sooner. I had initially thought I'd score the place a two or three, but a lot happened during my stay.
