The host was a real highlight. He shared lots of recommendations, arranged snorkeling for my girlfriend, and helped us get a ferry ticket off the island. Breakfast was basic but had enough choice for us, and the rooms were clean with AC that worked well. I hadn’t noticed when booking that the shower had no hot water, though in the warm weather it wasn’t a big deal. The toilet seat also wasn’t properly attached. For the price, it was still a fantastic place.

Breakfast was amazing, and the room was great with a really comfortable bed. The people were so nice and helpful, and it had everything we needed. It’s very close to the harbour and town, and the price was good for what we got. We loved our stay and would definitely return to Gili Trawangan.

The location is the one real plus: it’s close to nightlife, the harbour, and places to eat. But be ready for a strong stink whenever you open the bathroom door. The AC seemed to do whatever it wanted, and there was no blanket, just the sheet on the bed. The staff weren’t very accommodating.

The people were really friendly, and we had good AC, a decent-sized room, and a nice breakfast. It’s near the mosque, and getting there means using a bit of dirt road, which seems common in this part of the island. Still close to the center, with good prices for bike rentals too.

The staff were friendly and attentive, and breakfast was good. Our first room had an AC fault, but they moved us to a larger room that we were happy with. The location worked well for us, and we had a great stay.
