The one downside was having to leave. Everything else was lovely, and for such a low price it was great value. The room and garden area were colorful, artistic, beautifully furnished, and lush outside. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the room was clean, there was hot water, and the wifi worked well. Staff were very helpful, and you can choose daily housekeeping or keep your privacy. Breakfast was delicious, and they’ll bring it to your room to eat on your lanai whenever you like. The location has everything nearby without being in the middle of the party areas. Some people mention the mosques, but where in Indonesia would you find a place without one? Thanks to management for sorting things out before I arrived.

The small garden and tasteful decor gave the place a private feel. It’s close to everything, with the beach an easy walk or bike ride away. I loved the hammock in the early evening, and the staff were helpful. My room was clean, breakfast was great, and the price was really good value. I stayed four nights and would come back.

After two rooms on Gili that I wasn’t happy with, Puri Sayang was a relief. I spent three nights there and only wished I’d found it sooner. The tropical colors and lovely decor made it feel special, and the hammock became my reading spot. Staff were helpful and cleaned my room daily. It’s well located, and hiring a bike made it easy to get around. Great value for the money.

Both rooms we rented had blood stains across the covers and pillows, and the wifi didn’t work in either one. There was no hammock despite it being advertised. When we asked, they said they didn’t have one. Breakfast was basic, but that was okay. The Islamic chants started around 5 every morning and were so loud they woke you up; once the prayer ended, I still couldn’t get back to sleep for another 20 minutes. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I’d only suggest this place if you’re really short on money or staying just a couple of nights and can fall asleep fast like I can 😅
