Bale Sampan Bungalows

What made our stay at Bale Sampan Boutique Bungalows feel personal was Hady, the hotel manager. He was so polite, attentive, and ready to help, and the whole staff made it clear they care about guests. We had one of the best holidays of our lives and will come back with our family. The beach has soft white sand and a lovely sandy walk into clear water, just what you picture in a tropical paradise. Our room was clean, cozy, and well kept, and the restaurant made every meal a pleasure. Thanks for everything, see you next time!

The main downside was being woken at 5am every day. The bungalows sit right beside a mosque, and the call to prayer comes through very loud speakers for 10 to 15 minutes, then again at intervals through the day. It's not the hotel's fault, but light sleepers may want to avoid this part of the island since nearby places are likely affected too. Apart from the noise, the accommodation was perfect for us. Lovely staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and excellent breakfast and coffee. Turtle Beach is very close, and we saw turtles on every swim. Thanks for having us.

The only thing I'd change is the shower, since it was hard to keep the water at a steady temperature between hot and cold. Everything else was perfect for a couple, family, or friends. The room looked just like the booking photos, and both the pool and beach areas were great. The restaurant was awesome, and the staff were the best part, all so polite and kind. A peaceful, joyful place to stay.

Breakfast and lunch at Taste were both really tasty and generous portions. The facilities are lovingly looked after, right down to little details, and every staff member was kind and attentive. A couple of things to keep in mind: the mosque is clearly audible at sunrise, and although the shower was great, the water temperature kept fluctuating. I'd recommend this place a million times!
