SPOT ON 2167 Creative Bungalow

We paid online for three nights, but when we arrived, the hotel said it no longer worked with that booking company and wouldn’t honor our reservation. It was still listed on Agoda, so we can only assume the manager was dishonest and took a higher-paying booking for our already-paid room. He did nothing to help us get a refund and told us, “It’s your problem, leave the property.” We spent the next two hours walking around looking for a vacant hotel in the middle of high season, then had to pay for two rooms that night. Terrible management. Avoid.

The staff felt awful that someone on Airbnb had listed false prices and seemed to be trying to scam people. They tried to help us as much as they could. We were able to stay at the hotel, but had to pay more per night than the Airbnb price, so we felt scammed when we booked there. The room was okay, though not very clean, and neither was the toilet. Without the helpful staff, I’d give it only one or two stars.

The location right beside the port was great, and the staff were really friendly. The rooms are nice, but the bathroom showers need attention: no hot water and very weak pressure. We also had a mouse in our room one night. Apart from that, it was a great place to stay.

I’ve stayed in motels, hotels and homestays, and this is a great place to use as a base while you get to know the three Gilli islands of Lombok and decide what you want to do. It’s right between the hotels, bars, and best places to eat on gilli trawangon. If you’re here for drinks and tasty food, staying here leaves you plenty of cash for both. The beaches are right on your doorstep, and the fancy places nearby have facilities you can use. After a day on the sand, you can get into an air-conditioned room and chill before heading out again. My short stay cost $22 Australian dollars. Brillant spot.
