Wombat's B&B

The place was clean, the rooms were in good condition, and I was happy I booked here. The owner and attentive staff helped with everything, and you can do laundry or have breakfast. It’s far enough from the mosque that I could sleep in a nice environment. Other resorts we saw after going to the beach didn’t look well cared for, and even a fancy booking can turn into a mess. Here, things were really clean and well protected from the sun. There’s also a nearby swimming pool you can use if you buy a drink. The beach is walkable, but renting a bike from the staff is a better way to enjoy the island. Easy to deal with, and the host wasn’t a rip off. Thank you.

Everything around Wombat's B&B felt peaceful, from the neighbors and street to the owner. It’s a clean apartment with great air conditioning, away from the beach clubs, so it’s a good choice if you want a quiet place to stay. The owners were friendly, kind, and helpful with anything we needed.

The room was clean, and we could use the pool at the hotel next door. That’s where the good parts ended. We’d booked and paid the owner directly, but the staff didn’t know we were arriving. After a long journey, we were left waiting and had to call the owner ourselves. They try to make money by selling drinking water, which felt unacceptable on an island full of trash. At this price, drinking water should be included. The location was terrible too, close to the island’s landfill, which is constantly burning and smells of burning plastic. When that smell wasn’t coming from the landfill, the neighbors were burning trash, making it impossible to sit outside. The staff were annoying. They hung around all day in front of the room terraces, smoking, drinking, playing loud games on tablets, and making loud phone calls late into the night. The owners’ kids, who looked about ten, were smoking too, and nobody seemed to care. So much for a quiet, peaceful place. You can hear the mosque when the room doors are open. The owner also ignored several messages and wasn’t responsive. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

The garden’s beautiful plants made the place feel like a little paradise, and our clean, spacious room added to the comfort. Wombat’s B&B is away from Gili T’s busy center, so we felt tucked into a calm, quiet bubble, but it’s still close to everything by bicycle. The owner and staff welcomed us warmly, and we felt at home right away. We loved our stay and are already looking forward to coming back. We’ll definitely stay here again.
