Villa Phyphy 2

The bed was really comfortable and the aircon worked well, and the pool area was nice and kept very clean. Service is what makes this place stand out, five stars for that. The rooms are small, and the shower water is cold with barely any pressure.

Dani and the other staff were friendly, polite, and respectful of our privacy. They even remembered us when they saw us walking around. Our room had a terrace, a big enough comfortable bed, working air conditioning, and an okay toilet with tissue provided. The pool gives the place a relaxed feel. Wifi is available, but it was slower than my SIM card data. Breakfast Nasi Goreng wasn't great, though it was edible. The Villa is in the middle of the island, so it feels quite far out. If you don't mind a bit of walking, it's worth trying. If being near the pier and crowds matters, you can take PhyPhy 3 instead. This Villa is worth the price, even if it isn't perfect.

We spent three days and two nights here as a group, in the middle of the island among the villages. My friends felt they got their money's worth, but I didn't. My roommate and I seemed to get the unlucky room: it smelled bad, the shower was broken, there were no towel racks, the air conditioning barely worked, and there was no hot water. The nice pool earns one star from me, and the friendly employees earn the other.

The room at Villa PhyPhy 2 had a short circuit problem when we arrived, so we couldn't see what it was like inside and I don't have any room photos. The staff explained what was happening, asked us to wait, and spoke very politely while offering us a welcome drink. They then moved us to Villa PhyPhy 3, near the harbour, beach, and center. Villa PhyPhy 2 looks like the pictures from outside, and they gave us a great offer. The staff were really nice.
