White Coconut Cottage

It's wonderfully quiet here, with no loud music or mosque prayers waking you in the middle of the night. The resort sits in the center of Gili T, so nothing is too far. The island is flat, and getting around by bike is easy and fun. The staff were kind, smiling, attentive, and eager to help with our plans. The pool is lovely, and though it's small, it was enough. The sunbeds were comfortable. Rooms had what we needed: closets, drawers, hooks, and a comfortable daybed on the patio. The gardens were nice too. And Chee Chee, a very cool cat, might come nap with you if you let her. Breakfast was very simple, so I chose to eat elsewhere. There are lots of great food spots on the island, and Amsterdam Café just down the road is one I'd recommend. Prices seemed fair compared with other places over New Year's, and good for what you get. I look forward to coming back.

The pool area felt like a little haven, surrounded by lush greenery. The pool is beautiful, and the whole property is spacious and well cared for, just like the photos. Rooms are large and spotless, with bright, roomy bathrooms, good water pressure, and hot water. Jo and the team looked after us so well and made the stay feel special. They're the highlight of the place. Breakfast is simple but satisfying, with eggs made your way, crepes, coffee or tea, and fresh fruit salad. We also rented bikes right there, which was handy. It's quite far from the port, so arriving with bags in the heat on foot isn't practical. I'd take a horse cart. But the middle-of-island location makes it easy to reach either side, and being away from the party area was perfect for a quieter Gili T stay. Highly recommend it, a real gem.

Find somewhere else to stay. We paid in full weeks ago, then they suddenly cancelled our booking, saying the resort was shut. It's still listed on booking.com during high season, which seems suspicious. If the closure was planned, they could have told us weeks earlier. Now we have to book another place and lose a lot of time and money.

The location is very quiet, perhaps a bit too dark at night. There are no lights around, so finding the resort after going out was difficult. The rooms are spacious and clean, with a cute little balcony area outside to relax. Breakfast was simple but really good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. You can rent a bike at reception for 50k per day. The water was warm rather than properly hot, though I don't know if that's because of the island location, as I can't compare it with other hotels on Gilli T. Also, there are no curtains, so the early light will wake you up, which could bother some people. I'd recommend it if you want a clean, quiet place away from the busy area.
