Ecolodge Bukit Lawang - Hostel

They made this part of my journey completely carefree. They helped with my booking, arranged transport to and from Medan, and offered one of their 3d2n jungle tours. Communication was friendly and professional, and they delivered on everything. The tour itself was absolutely worth it. Ay and Topik were great guys who really cared about me and the other person they guided. They kept us safe throughout, and their concern felt real, beyond just doing a job. They also went along with what we wanted to do and helped us do it in the best way. The food during the tour was great, served several times a day, and they made sure we had enough water. I’d absolutely recommend them and plan to bring my parents eventually. Thanks to everyone who made my time there so good.

A big shout-out to our local jungle guide, Alex. He checked that we were okay and we felt safe with him the whole time. His professionalism and friendly manner made the experience even more enjoyable. The place itself is very nice, with kind staff and great service. Highly recommended!

After a four-hour drive, we arrived in the middle of the night during a tropical rainstorm, soaked and exhausted. The rooms are very basic, but the open-air shower gives you those jungle vibes. We’re well-traveled Europeans, and even we got a bit of culture shock. This hotel or lodge, call it what you like, feels like heaven. The restaurant and staff were divine. We could have stayed there for our entire trek around Indonesia just for the food and hospitality!

I loved it. With no internet or TV, I had to completely unplug and just watch the monkeys playing. They have free locker storage for anyone spending a night at the jungle camp. The pumpkin soup was heavenly, and the music in the restaurant area was just right.
