Monoloog Hotel Pasar Baru

They give you both AC and a fan here. Double cooling, nothing to complain about.

The only consistently good part was the reception team. They were friendly, helpful, and kept apologizing, but that couldn’t make up for the condition of Monoloog Hotel. My stay was very disappointing, with poor cleanliness and maintenance throughout. There was a strong sewage smell from the bathroom and a strange odor elsewhere in the room. The sheets had tiny dirty spots, some of which looked like blood. I changed rooms twice and still found small cockroaches in the first room, then ants and other bugs in the second. Some were on the bed and got into my belongings. Other guests had complained too, so the hotel seems to have a pest problem that hasn’t been dealt with. There were also broken sockets and the cleanliness overall was seriously lacking. I’d advise against staying until they make major improvements to cleaning and pest control.

The staff were nice, and the location and reception were okay. For a 3-star hotel, the price is reasonable. Still, the room lighting didn’t work for me, there’s no wardrobe, and the table is tiny. The bathroom also had a hot water problem, so I ended up with cold showers. Cleaning was really poor. I walked barefoot and my feet turned black, and the electricity sometimes cut out. The food is local and I didn’t find it tasty, so I wouldn’t recommend it. If you need a clean, comfortable place with good lighting, hot showers, and tasty food, I can’t recommend this hotel. If those things don’t bother you, it may be okay to stay here. Sorry to the owner if you’re reading this, but I have to say it so the service can improve. Thanks for understanding :)
