Adriatic Hotel

I left room 905 because the trains seemed to run all day and night, with constant crossing bells and traffic noise. After a day at the amphitheater, I moved to room 625 hoping to sleep, but ended up heading to the airport with ants all over and inside my bag. The window curtain had been down when I arrived, but the window wasn't sealed. I hadn't noticed ants or spiders when I put my bag down, and there wasn't even food in it. I still couldn't figure out what attracted them, and staff seemed to hurry me out while I tried to investigate. I told them what was going on, and they seemed to know already, or at least not care. It's a cheap place listed as a three-star hotel, but I don't consider it three-star. It has free breakfast, but no pool, old rooms, and some AC units barely work. I chose it over the Best Western because it was a little cheaper and had great reviews. I'd pick the Best Western 100000/10 times. I'm disappointed I chose this place.

The breakfast was just okay, but ants around the surfaces made it hard to enjoy. The only part of our stay at Horu that made us happy was the staff. Our room smelled terrible, and we found two cockroaches and lots of ants. The train crossing bell was so loud we couldn't relax. We told reception, and she moved us to another, better room, but it was full of dust. We cleaned the walls, the wall sign, doors, and other surfaces ourselves, sprayed the ants, and asked housekeeping to clean under the bed. They hadn't done it properly, so we pushed the bed aside to show them the dust and trash underneath. Then they cleaned that area properly.

The staff were nice, but the stay was completely mediocre. We asked to change rooms after finding bugs in the first one. In the next room, we had to clean around the shelves ourselves because they hadn't cleaned under the bed or the surfaces properly. There were also insects near the plates in the breakfast area.

Breakfast had plenty of local choices, but the porridge soup and kailo were far too salty. The hallway on our floor had an odd unpleasant smell. The shower water looked a little cloudy and tasted strange when gargled. There was a strand of hair on the bed and a stain on the pillow.
