All Sedayu Hotel Kelapa Gading

The gym had enough equipment for a quick workout, and the breakfast buffet had plenty to choose from and tasted great. I stayed for three days and two nights with friends, and we had a really good time. Our room was spacious and clean, and having the mall right next door was very convenient. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The mall entrance is right beside the hotel, which is a great location perk. My room was fairly spacious and tidy, and I was glad it came with a bolster, though it had no window. The breakfast spread was broad but the food tasted pretty standard, at least for my East Java taste buds. Staff were friendly and fixed my sink problem very quickly. One caution: the shower floor gets slippery when wet, so please be careful. I hope management addresses it before someone gets hurt.

The hotel's connection straight into Mall of Indonesia is a real plus, with lots of shops and food options. My 15-night stay still left me disappointed with the front office, though. I was ignored when trying to check out and would have waited far too long if the door woman hadn't stepped in. Nobody asked how the stay was, either. A greeting in the morning isn't the same as making a guest feel welcome. I can't comment on the food and beverage since I didn't try it. Housekeeping did an excellent job, the door staff were consistently welcoming, and maintenance did their best to fix the air conditioning. But it kept breaking down every 2-3 days. The room itself needs serious renovation: damaged furniture and walls, a dirty, damaged ceiling, and carpeting and curtains that should be replaced. The shower door wouldn't close properly, so water overflowed onto the bathroom floor. I was in room 3085.

MOI is right beside the hotel, which makes things especially handy if you're traveling with kids. The location is superb, and the hotel breakfast was nice too. Check-in took a little while, and the room felt somewhat dated.
