Aloft by Marriott Jakarta Wahid Hasyim

After four nights here, I came away with more trust in the hotel and Marriott brand. My blazer came back from laundry with a stain, but the team acted right away, said they'd handle it, and followed up by returning it only after making sure it was properly cleaned. That was a thoughtful response. Mistakes can happen, and what mattered was the professionalism and care shown by management and housekeeping. It seems like the hotel is well managed, and the staff really do care about guest satisfaction. I appreciate their effort and responsibility, and I'll stay here again.

Check-in was quick, and as a Bonvoy member I got welcome drink coupons and snacks. The location was perfect in the city center, near Grand Indonesia mall. My room was cozy and large, with a great bed. The bathroom amenities were standard, but the shower was clean and hot water worked well. There was also a good hairdryer, a kettle, complimentary bottled water, coffee, and tea. Breakfast runs from 6 to 10 a.m.

It's a decent place if all you need is somewhere to sleep. The TV really needs an upgrade because I couldn't watch Netflix, and staying in the room otherwise gets boring.

There was something for kids to do every day during the Christmas and New Year holidays, all free, and the lobby has loads of games: human-sized snakes and ladders, billiards, mini billiards, an arcade, and more. It's a comfortable hotel for all ages, especially children and young adults. The interior is colorful and fun, with quotes all around. Staff were friendly, the rooms clean, and the gym fairly well equipped. It's in the heart of Jakarta, so restaurants and tourist spots are easy to reach.
