I’d already paid through the booking site, but they hadn’t checked the reservation properly and wouldn’t give me a room, even though the site showed availability. At least they helped call OYO so I could get a refund.

There’s a swimming pool and parking on the property for both cars and motorcycles, but the room condition was a letdown. The bed felt cheap and weak, sank and squeaked when I sat down, and I had to get on or off slowly to keep my balance. Its headboard had come loose and leaned at an angle. After a few times getting on and off, the whole bed moved from where it started. The pillow was thin even for a budget hotel, and the sheets, pillowcase, and blanket all seemed old. In the bathroom, both the showerhead and tap dripped. The tap also made an irritating sharp sound on and off. I told the staff, but they didn’t fix it. I eventually figured out a way to stop the noise. There were insects crawling around, including ants almost an inch long, plus mosquitoes and other bugs. One ceiling light left the whole room dim, which made it easy to miss the room’s condition. There was a tiny 14-inch TV on the wall, with the socket below it hanging out and exposing the wires and fittings. The window wouldn’t close from inside, so I had to go outside and push it shut hard. Luckily, the room was on the ground floor. No toilet paper or drinking water was provided. Towels were available, but I had to ask for them. For stays longer than a day or two, you also have to request toothpaste and a refill of shower gel. The room looked nothing like the photos on booking apps, credit to the photographer, I guess. You get what you pay for, perhaps, but other budget hotel chains cost about the same. I’ll try one of those next time.

It’s cheap, but I wouldn’t stay again. The room looked very different from the pictures, the bed sagged, and the sink was broken and clogged. There was no showerhead, and water dripped from the shower line. Soap and shampoo cost an extra 10.000 IDR, and a bottle of mineral water was another 10.000.

Handy for a last-minute stay and good value, with a good location and guaranteed privacy. The bed was soft and pretty noisy. There’s air conditioning, a TV, parking, and a pool, but only one towel is included. Bring your own toothpaste, toothbrush, and soap.
