I booked through Airy Rooms and was unsure at first because I’d read reviews saying a club upstairs might make it noisy. Luckily, our room didn’t have any noise problem. It was clean and spacious, and totally worth the price.

The rooms themselves were nice and clean, but I wouldn’t plan on sleeping here. There’s a nightclub directly above, and the music was so loud my mate and I lay in bed laughing hysterically, feeling the room vibrate. The other 18 people on my expedition team said the same. It was so bad it became funny. I can’t believe they dismiss it. Unless you’re completely out of it on drugs or alcohol, or have already been awake for 48 hours, don’t expect sleep. It wasn’t a one-off either. We came back two weeks later, and it was just as bad.

The sheets were stained and smelled bad, and the towels were smelly too. The room had no window, and there was a bad smell from the bathroom. It was noisy, with karaoke or a discotheque going on after hours, at least until 3:30am. Access was difficult, and there was nothing to do nearby.

If you’re looking for electronics, DVD players, sound systems, electronic parts, or copies of MP3s and DVDs, this is the right place to go. And if you want nightlife where you can really enjoy the evening with the girls, this is also a good place to go.
